Ayşe BERKSOY YAVUZ, PhD
Dr. Ayse Berksoy-Yavuz received her B.S degree in Physics from Trakya University, Turkey, in 2008 and M.S degree in Material Science and Engineering from Gebze Institute of Technology, Turkey, in 2011. She obtained her Ph.D. degree at Gebze Technical University in 2018. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Gebze Technical University from December 2018 to March 2019. She joined the Istanbul Gedik University, Dept. of Metallurgical and Material Engineering in 2019 as an Assist. Prof. Her research interests include ceramic processing, molten salt synthesis and textured piezoceramics.

MUSTAFA YUNUS KAYA, PhD
Dr. Mustafa Yunus Kaya received his B.Sc and M.S degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Gebze Institute of Technology, Turkey, in 2007 and in 2010 respectively. He worked as a research assistant between 2015 and 2018 at Gebze Technical University. He received a Ph.D degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2018 from Gebze Technical University, Turkey. He worked at Istanbul Gedik University Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering between 2019 and 2020 as an Assistant Prof. Then he joined Bursa Technical University Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 2020 as an Assistant Prof. His research interests are ceramic processing, electro ceramic materials, prototyping piezoelectric ceramic devices and their applications, FEA design, relaxor ferroelectrics, energy storage applications. He is an author or co-author of SCI-E papers and international proceedings.

Sinan DURSUN, PhD
Dr. Sinan Dursun received his B.Sc. degree in Physics from Ege University, Turkey (2007). He has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Gebze Technical University, Turkey (2017) where worked as a research assistant between 2012 and 2017. His main research interests include electro ceramic materials, dielectrics, multi-layer prototyping, ceramic processing, cold sintering processing, textured ceramics, FEA design, actuators, transducers and composites. He is an author or co-author of 23 papers and a patent pending. Currently, he is working as Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Penn State University, USA.

Helin TEMEL
Helin Temel received a B.Sc. degree from the Gebze Technical University, Department of Physics in 2020. She was also doing a Minor in Materials Science and Engineering, which she completed in 2021. She started her M.Sc. studies at the Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering in 2020. She did a voluntary internship at TÜBITAK UME for two terms. She worked on the sol-gel synthesis of BZT-BCZT based lead-free piezoceramic systems and graduated in 2023.
Ahmet ÖZBEY
Ahmet Özbey, was born in Aydın, Turkey. He recevied his B.Sc. degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Kocaeli University. He worked as a quality control engineer in a private company between 2020-2021. He has been working as a project assistant on a project supported by the United States Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) since july 2021. He worked as a graduate researcher and project assistant in "Lead-free polymer-ceramic piezocomposite materials" in the Piezodevices Research Group and graduated in 2023.

Emre CANANOGLU
Emre Cananoğlu received his B.Sc. degree at Gebze Technical University, Department of Materials Science and Engineering in 2020. He has worked on Effect of Temperature on Al-18Ce Alloy in his senior thesis and his c M.Sc. research was on the Development of PZT Elastic Composite Structures & Investigation of PMN-PT/PDMS Composites. He graduated in 2023.

Aykut AYKAC
Aykut Aykaç received his B.S. degree at Gebze Technical University, Department of Materials Science and Engineering in 2020 and he continues his work as a graduate student in our group. He did internships at Sarkuysan Electrolytic Copper Inc. and ENS Piezodevices Ltd. He was also a part-time R&D engineer at the ENS Piezodevices Ltd. He worked on Rare Earth Doped PMN-PT Ceramics and Their Applications for Underwater Transducers in his master's thesis and graduated in 2023.

Tubanur AVCI
Tubanur Avcı received her B.S. degree at Gebze Technical University Material Science and Engineering Department in 2020 and she continues her work as a graduate student and project assistant in our group. She did internships at Tübitak MAM,Cryocan and her long term internship at TEI. She worked on texturing lead-free NBT-BT based systems in her senior thesis and worked on the electrocaloric effect in the BZT system and graduated in 2023.

Ecem AYDIN
Ecem Aydın was born in Duzce Turkey in 1995. She obtained B.S., in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the Kocaeli University, Kocaeli, Turkey in 2018 and she studying M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Gebze Technical University. She worked at a project which was supported by American Air Force at Gebze Technical University and graduated in 2022. Her research is about Investigation of Electrocaloric Effect in 0.90PMN-0.10PT Ceramics.

İrem BÖBREK
She received her BS in department of metallurgical and materials engineering between 2013-2017 from Kocaeli University.Then, she completed her MSc. in materials science and engineering at Gebze Technical University between 2019-2022. The thesis subject was “Investigation of electrocaloric properties of textured 0.72PMN-0.28PT thick films” supported by AFOSR for two years.
Havva BAYINDIR
Havva Bayındır was born in Uzunköprü, Edirne in 1994. She received her B.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2017 and her M.Sc. degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2020 from Gebze Technical University, Turkey. She worked as a project assistant in the TUBİTAK 116M216 project for two years to develop KNN based lead-free Sea-Shell transducers.

Gözde TOPRAK SÖZEN
Gözde Toprak Sözen was born in 1993. She received her B.S. degree from Kocaeli University, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 2017 and her M.Sc. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Gebze Technical University, in 2020. During her graduate education, she worked as a project assistant in AFOSR (Air Force Office of Scientific Research) project under the direction of Prof. Dr Ebru Menşur Alkoy and actively played a role in the Piezodevices Research Group.

Ömer ÇAKMAK
Ömer Çakmak received his B.S. degree in Material Science and Engineering in 2015 at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Republic of Turkey.
He started his PhD studies in 2017 at the Materials Science and Engineering at Gebze Technical University.
Between 2017-2019, he worked as a project assistant/graduate researcher in various research projects in the Piezodevices Research Group at Gebze Technical University. His research interests were lead-free piezoelectric ceramics with superior properties derived from barium titanate based compositions. He has left his Ph.D. studies after receiving a government scholarship to study abroad. He is currently a graduate student in the Nuclear Reactor Materials programm in the Division of Advanced Nuclear Engineering at Pohang University Science and Technology, Republic of Korea.
